The nameplate is an equilateral triangular prism made of three identical panels joined by finger joints along their long edges. Each joint meets at 60°, so the fingers are sized for square laser cuts: every slot is cut back √3 × the material thickness from the outer edge.
The SVG is in millimeters with three layers, colored for LightBurn's default palette:
#FF0000): panel outlines as hairline paths.#000000): your title text as filled outlines, for fill/raster engraving.#0000FF): your subtitle text as filled outlines.Finger tips: Flush keeps every finger inside the outer surface, leaving a small notch at each corner finger. Full fills the corner completely, but each finger sticks out up to half the material thickness and needs sanding after gluing.
Lengths can be typed in mm, cm, or inches (in or "), including fractions such as 1/8in; mix them freely. The 3D view shows the assembled nameplate at the dimensions you enter. Fonts include Inter by Rasmus Andersson (SIL Open Font License).
Engrave with the panels face-up; that face is the outside. Assemble with all engraved faces outward, and glue the joints. Measure your actual material thickness with calipers, as plywood sold as 1/8" is often closer to 3 mm. The prism's ends are left open.
